PhotoPebble privacy
Privacy, plainly.
What stays on your Mac, and what happens when you visit this website.

Using PhotoPebble
PhotoPebble works locally with the files and folders you choose. You don’t need a PhotoPebble account or a cloud library to browse, view, or edit your media.
The app processes photos and videos on your Mac. It does not upload your media or include analytics or tracking. Its access to your files uses macOS’s user-selected file and folder permissions.
Your files and saved access
Your originals stay in their existing locations when you browse. PhotoPebble remembers access to folders you add so you can return to them. Removing a folder from the library forgets that saved access; it does not delete the folder’s media.
Save a Copy keeps the original. Replace Original changes the source file when supported, and there is no undo after that replacement is saved.
Edited photo exports can retain capture and GPS location metadata when the destination format supports it. Exporting is not a metadata-removal tool; check a file’s metadata before sharing it if location privacy matters to you.
Visiting this website
This website does not ask you to upload media or create an account. PhotoPebble does not add analytics scripts or advertising trackers to these pages.
The site’s own scripts do not set cookies or use browser storage. Images, styles, and the site’s own scripts are served with the site. Contact services and website hosting involve separate processing, described below.
Contact messages
Your message is sent only when you choose Send.
When enabled, the contact form sends the name, email address, and message you enter to Web3Forms for processing and forwarding to PhotoPebble’s configured inbox, so the message can be read and answered. It does not upload your photo library or attach files.
Web3Forms’ current privacy policy describes retaining form submissions and using service providers for delivery and spam prevention. Email addresses and IP addresses may be processed for spam checks. See Web3Forms’ privacy policy for its retention and processing details. Messages reaching the inbox are also handled by its email provider; an inbox retention period has not been specified here.
These contact-service practices are separate from the app’s local media processing.
Cloudflare hosting
This website is hosted by Cloudflare. Delivering a page involves network requests, even though the PhotoPebble app processes your media locally.
Cloudflare says its services may process IP addresses, traffic routing data, system configuration information, and other traffic information when people visit customer websites. Its policy also describes network data used to operate and protect its services.
These are Cloudflare’s descriptions of its practices, not a claim that this website has no hosting logs. Read Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its information about that processing. When you follow an external link, the destination’s own privacy information applies to your visit.
